Vice Carter – Respect (Video)

June 27, 2020 0

On 6.19.2020, the game changed. All thanks to Flint, MI based Hip-Hop emcee, Vice Carter! It took 16 mixtapes for Vice to grace us with a debut album. Instead of rushing to become forgotten, he took his time, evolved before our very eyes, and created an immortal first impression. “God, Hip-Hop, & Marijuana” is the new classic hip-hop album due to it’s ability to standout like a green thumb for creativity in a world where music is replaced just as quick as it’s discovered. The message is loud & clear in songs like “No Fear”! “I want a lot outta this Hip-Hop shit / and when it’s all said and done give me a spot where big and tupac sit.” That’s a statement that comes with big shoes to feel. But by the tone in his voice, you can tell he’s looking to fulfill that promise. “Hourglass” is a love/hate letter to Hip-Hop. Describing her as a girlfriend who take what she has for granted. With absolutely no intentions on showing up. With production coming from Top Dawg Entertainment’s Willie B, this song is destined to inspire most of, if not all of his peers to apply pressure when it comes to creating music that will last. We all know 2020 is full of surprises and this album was indeed one of them!
