Merging two of the most unique hiphop vocals from the South, Young Thug joins Yella Beezy on his new song, “Headlocc”.
Built around a lumbering piano melody and syncopated snares, “Headlocc” takes shots at fakes and lames, who would leap at the opportunity to turn a friend into the feds. Trading verses with Young Thug, who reins in his vocal acrobatics and lets Beezy shine, the Dallas native describes his desire to get revenge in explicit detail.
Yella Beezy is planning to release multiple projects in the coming months, including a collaborative effort with fellow Texan Trapboy Freddy.
