Can you believe it’s been 28 YEARS?!
The iconic, Dr. Dre, has teamed up with TIDAL for the release of his groundbreaking debut, “The Chronic” today. This is the first time the classic album has been placed on a streaming platform. While TIDAL holds the exclusive release today, “The Chronic” will be available on all streaming services tomorrow, 4/20 (of course).
First released in 2002 via Death Row Records, the 16-track album that was named one of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” by Rolling Stone, not only solidified the West Coast Hip Hop movement but redefined it – shedding light on artists such as Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Kurupt and Daz Dillinger.
As if going triple-platinum isn’t enough to validate “The Chronic” as one of the greatest bodies of work in music – not just Hip Hop – isn’t enough. Maybe you need to stream it a few more times – via TIDAL.
