On Friday November 5th, the line at The Ritz Theatre in Elizabeth, NJ could be seen wrapped around the block as A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE fans waited in excitement for the King of The Bronx to make a stop in the Garden State on his AVA COLLEGE TOUR.      photo: @Pablomanessi_

As A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie fans made their way into The Sold Out Ritz Theatre, opening artists who that set the tone & opened the show were: Hennessy, Lil Rekk, B- Love & Bouba Savage whose private sprinter van at the end of the night was surrounded by loyal fans outside of the venue hoping to snap a picture with the break out east coast drill rapper.

The event was sponsored by Platinum Entertainment Group and Spectra & Presented by Concert Crave. Throughout the night, staff worked diligently to ensure that ticket holders had a blast and experienced one of the best A BOOGIE WIT THE HOODIE performances New Jersey had ever witnessed. As A BOOGIE and his entourage, including DJ Cranberry, Boogies official DJ, made their way from the VIP on stage, the love and energy from fans in the audience could be felt throughout the Theater, with the rapper himself at one point in the night stopping between sets and seeming to take in the energy of the room- and appearing humbled by the turnout of fans who danced & sang every word of the Billboard Charting , Platinum Selling Rapper from the Highbridge section of the Bronx. During the show fans sang every word of his lyrics, and one who stood in the front row holding a hand written sign that read:

“I CAME HERE TO SEE THE KING OF NEW YORK… A BOOGIE WIT THE HOODIE.”

Throughout the night, A BOOGIE’s team remained close during show time but one member of his entourage caught my attention. It was a young man who stood to the left of the stage & behind the rapper as he performed . The young man looked almost identical to A Boogie & never once took his eyes off the rapper or the crowd during the show. I quietly made my way over to find out that the young man who stood watch over the Platinum-Record Selling Rapper- was actually his younger brother Ty who brought to life the real meaning of “My Brother’s Keeper”.

Back in October, A BOOGIE made headlines when he performed at NYC Rolling Loud with rapper Da Baby during 50 Cent’s classic hits set. The iconic performance closed out the first night of the show with a firework show.
