Bay Area emcee BREEDSWORLD delivers a quick-fire new banger, “Rooftop,” that’s tailor-made for summertime vibes and late-night drives with the windows down.
The track features bouncy production from Chef Boyz, who blend melodic keys with slapping percussion and hints of vocals to serve as the driving rhythm behind their collaborator’s bars. BREEDSWORLD takes full advantage of their canvas, flexing different vocal styles and approaches to the warm, bass-heavy instrumental.
“Rooftop” also just has such a natural, carefree vibe to it that makes it nearly impossible to not keep on repeat. That’s especially true when you hear the relatable nature of some of the rhymes, like when he spits the hook; “Everybody party at the roof top/ A couple of ‘em pull up in the coup drop/ Girl, don’t be actin’ funny after two shots/ Cuz we gon’ have to leave and hit a new spot.”
