Being the daughter of American action movie star Steve James did not make Debbi’s path to success a cakewalk. After losing her father at the age of 5, Debbi moved to Israel with her Israeli mother, a supermodel, who has been her driving force throughout her life. She taught her to fight racial discrimination and be strong in the face of all odds. This blissful time with her mother did not last long. Debbi’s mother died when she was 17, leaving her in the care of her grandparents. after a couple of years, Debbi decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her career in the music industry.

After moving to America, Debbi experienced a setback when she realized her English was not good enough to debut in the music industry. Debbi booked several tours with prominent artists like Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, and Rotem Cohen. She was also a part of The X Factor Israel.
