Klassik Frescobar has hit the music industry with his new, unique, and fresh Jamaican influenced Dancehall music fused with Soca and Calypso. He is a top artist with commanding high-energy vocals that blend well with the sweet Soca vibes. Klassik is widely known for his captivating and electrifying live performances. He is growingly popular in the music industry and fans are excited about his new releases.
Klassik Frescobar was born in New York but raised in Kingston, Jamaica, by his grandparents. Growing up in Jamaican made him fall in love with Dancehall music. He started listening to Soca, Calypso, and Jamaican Dancehall from a young age as they were the commonly played music on the local radio. His mom’s cassette player was his companion and he used to listen to Beanie Man, Bounty Killa, and Sean Paul from an early age.
He moved back to the United States at the age of 13 and spent most of his time listening to hip-hop music. He, however, never allowed himself to be swayed from his Jamaican musical roots and remained true to the music. Even though he considers New York his favorite place on earth, he relocated to Miami, South Florida, where there was a larger population of the Caribbean community. This brought him closer to the Jamaican vibe and he began regularly attending local Dancehall parties. Red Café, the rapper played an important role in his career.
LL Cool Blaze, an American of Jamaican descent, is among the people who constantly encouraged him to make a transition to Soca music and often invited him to get on a rhythm, the ‘Bad Boys Riddim’. He embraced Blaze’s advice, and five years later, his success in the industry is evident.
He considers himself a flexible artist with an open taste for new music. His music touches on various aspects such as love, drugs, hate, the streets, and more. Klassik believes that fans today will appreciate any music if it is real and comes from the heart.
Though he started working in the music industry in 2016, his music brand has grown tremendously since he started leveraging social media. He credits his success to his fans who have wholeheartedly celebrated his shift to Soca and Calypso. He devotes himself to align closely with the music that resonates with his fans. Additionally, some friends connected him with top producers, leading to his record ‘Looking Good’. The record performed well and went viral, inspiring him to work on his latest release ‘Too Much’. The new release is also a hit and is doing much better. He even rates it as his top release.
Success in the music industry is not easy. There are a lot of obstacles along the way. The so-called ‘gatekeepers’ believe that they have to be part of an artist’s success. Failure to involve them results in them blocking your success. Klassik says that this situation has to change and encourages new artists to turn to social media for building their audience. The world is going digital and it is important to embrace the change and be more tech-savvy to grow your brand in the music industry.
