Otis Oak is a South Florida-based independent musician, lyricist, and producer who is gearing up for the fall release of his highly anticipated album, Open Letters

Otis Oak is a hip hop connoisseur and a passionate creative with his own blend of silky yet gritty rap. With Open Letters, the independent hustler is bringing golden-era NYC energy out of South Florida. He offers “Real Music for Real People” in a style he calls BoomTrap.

The upcoming project comes as the follow up to his 2020 single, “Please Excuse My Language”. I’m regards to projects—  the new album will be the first full-length drop off since his 2018 debut project, Generation X: The Prototape which features fan favorite track, “Free Knowledge”. Otis’ “Free Knowledge” was the initial record to put his distinctive sound on display. After two years in the making, Otis  Oak’s approaching release is sure to highlight his

musical evolution, dedication and hit single catalog.

While Open Letters is only his second official release, Otis has spent years honing his brand. Dedicating years to performing and networking throughout South Florida and Orlando. It wasn’t until one of the singles, “Glitter,” from Generation X became a hit following a particularly memorable performance opening for Rick Ross in Orlando. As a result, Otis was selected as one of 104.5 Orlando’s Spotlight Artists, won the Coast2Coast Artist Showcase that year, and even performed at a large charity event for the city’s mayor.

Otis Oak is an indie multi-talented artist as he writes, performs, mixes, and masters the majority of his music.

For the creation behind the upcoming release though, the one-stop shop musician decided to solicit the support of some powerful friends. The album’s lead single is a collaboration with Statik Selektah, a famed NYC producer.

Foreign Teck, who has produced hit records for many of the industry’s greatest names, including Drake, Chris Brown, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott, Torey Lanez, and others, contributes to the compilation as well. Through his musical journey, Otis Oak is being advised and mentored by one of Hip-Hop’s heavyweight lyricists — Q Tip of A Tribe Called Quest

As we prepare for the release of Otis Oak’s Open Letters, give his most recent release, “Please Excuse My Language” and let us know what you think.
