unnamed-51 YSL Signee YTB Trench Releases Debut Mixtape 'Versatalien'

Today, Young Stoner Life Records signee YTB Trench releases his highly-anticipated debut mixtape Versatalien. The project, which gets its name from a combination of the words “versatile” and “alien”, showcases not only Trench’s distinct voice and unforgettable sound, but his eclectic sonic influences. Trench is a self-proclaimed nomad who bounced around frequently during his upbringing and Versatalien explores the experiences that made Trench into the artist he is today. The 12 track mixtape explores the many facets of Trench’s sound, and features previously released singles “F.O.F.G” and “3roken Soul”, as well as appearances from YSL labelmates Young Thug and Gunna.
Trench’s ability to flawlessly articulate his trials and triumphs is evident with every beat and bar on the project. Bouncing between trap beats, rhythmic melodies and intense flows, Trench tells his story without holding anything back. About his music, Trench says“I’m only 20 but I know I genuinely really love music. I work on it to the point where I know I’m strongly confident in my craft. I’m young but I’m thinking that I really want to be the best in the world. I’m surprising myself and continuing to see myself grow.”

Versatalien comes off the back of recent releases “3roken Soul” and  “F.O.F.G”, as well an appearance Young Stoner Life Records’ #1 Billboard compilation album Slime Language 2 which featured his standout performance on “Paid The Fine” featuring Lil Baby, Young Thug, and Gunna. The groundbreaking video for “Paid The Fine” went viral after the rappers teamed up to pay the bonds of inmates within Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail; a facility that recently attracted local media attention for its extensive overcrowding. Slime Language 2 also housed a remix to Trench’s song “My City”. Now with his debut mixtape under his belt, Trench is ready to begin his next chapter.
