The Game’s ninth studio album Born 2 Rap, where it was said at the time that it was going to be his last, has been out for a couple of years now. In addition to the 25 tracks on Born 2 Rap, the album included features from Mozzy, Miguel, Ed Sheeran, Dom Kennedy, Marsha Ambrosius, Chris Brown, 21 Savage, Bryson Tiller, the late Nipsey Hussle, and more. In addition to receiving critical acclaim, the album also debuted in the top 20 commercially, selling around 23,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
The Game has (presumably) been enjoying his time away from the studio since then, aside from releasing the Lil Wayne-assisted “A.I. with the Braids” last year. On Monday (August 11), the Compton legend returns with his new single, “Worldwide Summer Vacation,” a feel-good joint produced by Duke that emphasizes travelling and living life to the fullest:
The accompanying music video for “Worldwide Summer Vacation” comes from LouieKnows, which starts with a group of girls getting ready for a vacation, transitions into The Game throwing a pool party complete with choreographed dancing, a DanRue guest appearance, and a lot of alcohol, and plenty of beautiful women. Throughout the video, Jayceon can be seen green-screened, showing his love for the numerous locations he mentions in the song.
