In Sterling Heights, Michigan, a police officer was suspended after he decided to share a meme that was racist and made fun of the tragic death of George Floyd. The offensive Facebook post led to an internal investigation. The post in question had a picture of ex-officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on Floyd’s neck with a caption that read: “When you gotta change a tire but don’t wanna get your trousers dirty.”
