New Haven, CT rapper AJDaGuru has been on a creative journey, looking to put out his debut album “A Different Side Of Me” any day now. While we wait for AJ to piece together the forthcoming album, he recently took to his Instagram and dropped a new snippet for a song he calls “No Breaks”.
It is in this new snippet that AJDaGuru displays his musical talent once again as he showcases his production and powerful voice. On the hook of the melodic-bassy track, AJ raps, “Don’t worry about me I’m great/ Hundred dollar bills in the safe/ Balling on these n*ggas MJ/ Wrist so wet like a lake/ Big Back yard at my place/ Smoking on exotic out of state/ Keep the grass cut no snakes/ Working so hard no breaks.
To break it into simpler terms, the rapper wants us to know he’s living comfortably and keeping his focus strictly on his music grind with no planes of slowing up. While listening to the new snippet it instantly draws you in from the exotic sounds AJ used to create the beat along with his aggressive vocals.
In the short verse, AJ gives his perspective on being a hustler growing up in New Haven, CT, where he allegedly sold crack cocaine long before he got into music. Though AJ has only released two songs from his debut album Seen It All and his mental health-related song Love Yourself, he continues to share more and more snippets for his music fans.
It was reported previously that AJ was looking to drop off his A Different Side Of Me release in the summer, but AJDaGuru himself has not yet confirmed the actual release date.Take a listen to the new snippet from AJDaGuru below while we wait for the arrival of “A Different Side Of Me”.
