The Don Godfather is the most recent release of King Tut, a music artist that has been on the scene for some time but had taken a five-year hiatus recently. During his hiatus, he took on two individual movie soundtrack projects in 2020 for the movies Killing My Obsession and Loyalty. He was also featured on Freeway Rick Ross Music Groups Mix CD, No flight zone a few years ago. Now he is gearing up for a big return with a double album. The album, released on July 19th, 2022 is his first fully independent double album and consists of 28 songs: 1-4 Volumes Ep.
This album brings back music with lyrical poetry that rap artists in the 90s had us used to. This lyrical prowess is easily one of the things that separates him from many more contemporary artists who pay much less attention to the lyrics in their songs.
The Don is also a deeply personal album and, in some ways, it is also a family affair as both his Son Angel Wilson & Nephew Capone Haywood are featured within it. The music production was taken on by Bopman Productions (Sterling Smith).
The Don is truly an exceptional piece of music and it will make a great final album and departure from the music industry by an artist that has had the time and pleasure of seeing it shift and move and welcome new artists that have powerful messages to share.
