As of this month, DJ Khaled’s thirteenth studio album will be released titled GOD DID. In order to prepare the masses for the anticipated release, the music tastemaker today releases “Staying Alive,” a collaboration between Lil Baby and Drake. Besides the collaboration, there is also a cinematic visual that depicts the artists performing in front of ambulances.
As soon as its release is confirmed, GOD DID will follow KHALED KHALED, a 14-track collection which featured Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Jeremih, Lil Wayne, Cardi B, JAY-Z, Nas, among others. The fact that both Drake and Lil Baby contributed to KHALED KHALED (“Popstar,” “Greece,” and “Every Chance I Get”), many other big names are likely to appear on GOD DID as well.
A couple of months ago, Khaled and Drake shared some intimate details about their relationship on “Drink Champs”:
“In 90% of cases, when you work with Drake, Drake will say, ‘Here’s the recording.’ I can assure you that when you work with Drake, this is what you want. In addition to being a DJ, I am also a producer. A&R is what I do. My profession is music executive. There is no way a real music man could deny f**king hits. It’s never a good idea to do that.”
Additionally, during the same interview, he revealed that he had not yet worked with the following musicians:
My experience with Andre 3000 is limited. He is a friend of mine, and we have talked quite a bit. His approval was necessary for the sample I used in my last album. I always told Dre that I wanted to do something with Andre, I always wanted to work with Dre.
