What can’t you do, Brayd? First Hip Hop, EDM and now boxing? We saw you went viral on TMZ this week. Fill the readers in on your upcoming fight.

It’s truly an honor making history like this. As you know, I am going to be fighting in a Celebrity Boxing Match this October 15th in Atlantic City. It’s going to be at the Showboat, basically in my own backyard. Being a Non-binary Trans Woman, I believe I will be the first transgender boxer like myself to fight a cisgender man for the Non-Binary Division Title Belt. My opponent Mike Mazza, is a washed up pro-wrestler, actor and pseudo comedian who looks like he is a poor man’s Andrew Tate. I hear he is scared. He didn’t realize how hard I’ve been training. Rumor has it, he pissed himself at the press conference. Hope he brings a diaper in October.

How exciting. Tell us about your training, you clearly changed your physique, what have you been doing to prepare for this fight?

Honestly, the biggest factor in everything has been my diet. I was on the keto diet for a while, which was great to stay lean, but killed my cardio. I was gassing out quickly, especially while sparring. Keto is much better when I am focused solely on lifting. I had to adapt and now follow a strict high protein low carb diet. I have abs poking through sometimes for the first time in years. I’ve added enough carbs where my cardiovascular endurance has improved tremendously, while also adding on a few pounds of muscle. I had to move up a weight class for this fight. I lost some of my femininity but as I told someone recently, beauty doesn’t win fights. I had to turn myself into a warrior, especially if I am taking on cisgender men pumped full of testosterone. I might drop back down to my normal weight after the match. I might have to lose twenty pounds for my kickboxing match later this year. The estrogen certainly makes all that so much harder.

Training wise, I box and kickbox usually about six days a week. I belong to two different gyms, one gym for each sport. I also belong to a weightlifting gym and have the greatest personal trainer on the planet. He has made me into a machine, adding weight to all my lifts each and every week. The lifting regimen I am following is strictly structured to improve my fighting performance. I had heavyweights crying from  my knees recently so it all seems to be paying off.

I also wanted to shout out Golden Era Supplements in Long Beach, New York. They have helped me get my diet in shape and throw me free products to try out too. I also have been using a few different meal prep services. By the way, I am looking for new sponsors. Reach out if you want me to push your brand!

Looking over comments on social media, people are clearly impressed by your athleticism. What inspired you to fight though?

That’s an interesting question for sure. The answer is very complex. First of all, I feel blessed to be able to get back into martial arts at this point in my life. I was always obsessed as a kid. Bruce Lee, Jean Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Sylvestor Stallone, were all some of my earliest heroes. I watched all their movies on repeat. When I got a little older, I had a chance meeting with Ken Shamrock that changed my life forever. He was so down to earth yet so intimidating at the same time. The World’s Most Dangerous Man, helped inspire me to start training in the Martial Arts. I tried a few different sports out to see what I liked most.  I was a pretty gifted wrestler who was lucky enough to be coached by National and Olympic Champions. I used to place in tournaments, but was addicted to drugs at the time and I often wonder how far I could have gone if I had my act together back then. My father was a champion wrestler himself. It is my blood. My demons got the best of me back then, but I had to hit rock bottom to bounce back up. I also kickboxed for a bit back in the day, but my gym closed abruptly. I wonder how good I could have been today if that didn’t happen? I also spent a few years training in Karate, Taekwondo and Jiu Jitsu too. Out of all these, I fell in love with Jiu Jitsu first. It was the most similar sport to wrestling for me. I actually was briefly training out of former UFC Champion Matt Serra’s gym when I was younger.  I walked away though, because I felt like I had to give it all up when I started transitioning. I felt like the world would never accept a transgender fighter like myself. Once I lost sports, I felt lost for years. Music found me, which filled some of the hole. Yet, ever since training again I feel more complete than ever. I love boxing, but if I am being honest kickboxing is my new favorite. No better way in the world for me to get my aggression out.

I also am a descendant of the legendary John L. Sullivan, one of greatest boxers to have ever lived. Boxing is in my blood. I feel like I was born to do this. I realize I am going to get a lot of hate, but I am ready for it. I am hoping I can change the world for people like myself. Create enough hype to inspire other trans athletes to chase their dreams. I dream of one day getting to fight Alanna McLaughlin in a MMA fight. She’s the transgender fighter who beat a cisgender female fighter last year which caused some controversy. I really hope we can make it happen. Even if I lose I know it will push the sport forward in a positive way.

What’s unique about you is that you are fighting cisgender men? Alanna fights cisgender females? Would you ever fight a cisgender women?

Honestly, as of now I couldn’t box a female if I wanted to due to local laws in my area. It seems to differ in each city or organization. However, I am fine with that, I just want to fight and want to fight whoever is brave enough to step in the cage with me. Personally, I would like to make all my match ups as fair as possible. For this reason, I’d fight someone like Alanna over Julia Pena any day of the week. I know my power and think I could hurt someone if not careful. I don’t even enjoy sparring with cisgender women because I am always afraid to hurt them. Let’s not forget, I was a gentleman at one time. I guess I might never lose that side of me. Do I believe that there are some cisgender females out ther that could beat me? Yes, I am sure there are some out there on the right day. However, I know I’d rather test my ability against someone who is equally prepared for battle. It’s for this reason that I am excited to possibly fight Britney Vaughn or Gina “The Man Eater” Figuroa in the near future. They are both transgender liek myself and are not scared to take on cisgender men. Even Joe Rogan supports transgender fighters these days, saying if there is any sport where we should exist, it’s MMA. Warriors fight other warriors.

Besides fighting, what’s new with your music?

I sort of put the music on hold for a while. I am addicted to training and fighting. However, I am getting ready to release some new music shortly. Some of it will be old stuff from the vault, whereas I will also be releasing new “fight music” that has been inspired through my training. Many say it’s my best yet. Super aggressive with some rock embedded in it too. It’s the type of music I was born to make. The old stuff is gonna be both hip hop and EDM. A little something for everybody.

I also might perform at a couple shows with DaBaby in Texas this November.  I am really pumped up, can’t wait to tour Texas again.

Can’t wait to check it out. Before you go, please tell our readers where they can find your upcoming fights or concerts?

If you want to watch me destroy Mike Mazza in person, please buy tickets for the Celebrity Boxing show and join us at the Showboat Atlantic City this October 15th. In the past, these events were streamed on FITE TV and through most local cable companies. However, I believe this fight might be streamed on BXNG.TV this time due to a new partnership. So if you can’t make it in person, you can still witness me make history in the ring.

My kickboxing match might take place with the New Line Cagefighting Organization. I am really excited, the opponent I would face is certainly no joke. I am up for the challenge though. I will be sure to share streaming and ticket information when I get closer to the match.

Lastly, I am supposed to perform at DaBaby’s shows in two cities in Texas in November. It looks like we will be taking over Austin and Dallas. I’ll be sure to share all the details on my socials.
