Rapper Rob run corleone hails from Louisville kentucky. Real name Robert DeShawn Boyd. Recently won a suppression hearing to beat an indictment for 125 grams of methamphetamine in Cave city; Kentucky. FED MAGAZINE Alumni and KENTUCKY VICTORY PARK DRUG KINGPIN Reggie Rice style. His new video ‘Trap’. AND Single ‘Pop a perc pop a zan featuring Bone the Mack is heating up the streets. We recently went to trap in the West end of Vermont Street to interview this Street hustling legend.
So how has the industry treated you?
The industry is work. You have to network and promote and get with the now and relative people. It’s a different wave. The kids today drive camaros and chargers instead of foreigns. They control what’s happening.
What types of deals have you came across?
After I left tvt records when Pitbulll surd them I went back to what I know, the streets.
So who have you been in negotiations with?
Chris Gotti from murder inc and Fat joe offered marketing and distribution deals but it didn’t make sense to me. Because I’m in Kentucky. It made no sense to get hit in Boston, Montana, and Maine where I would have been marketed to. Cbo and I from the west coast did an only fans deal but we had trouble with the models contracts. The models thought I was shaming them and I really was just trying to put us on. They wanted more money and I explained let’s take 30 percent and exposure.
What don’t you like about the industry?
The whining from rappers Freddy P, Mase And Thegame. DIDDY GAVE YALL MONEY AND OPPORTUNITY AND GAME WAS DISLOYAL. Yall had chances that most of us never get. And blame others for your defaults when you were given millions or atleast the spotlight to make it happen. And check out my song with Lil’Flip ‘Whip that work’.
What would you like to see more of?
Working together. In Louisville nobody can come together to get the bag. Everybody wanna make it a Street or set thing and don’t own a house on the street. We need to come together and get this paper.
