The 21-year-old Atlanta-based artist known for his catchy verses, acrobatic flows, and charismatic cadences, SoFaygo has just shared his highly anticipated debut album, Pink Heartz. After bursting onto the scene in 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic, SoFaygo has made a name for himself as a genre defining artist at the epicenter of the cultural zeitgeist. Following the release of his viral Lil Tecca-produced and Cole Bennett directed video-single, “Knock Knock”, SoFaygo has racked up hundreds of millions of streams, signed to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Records, toured as direct support for Trippie Redd, glossed the cover of XXL’s 2022 Freshman issue, and has been recognized as one of the most promising new artists of 2022 by Apple Music as well as HipHopDX. Having made his late night television debut earlier this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, SoFaygo is ready to usher in a new era of rap music with the release of his debut album, Pink Heartz—out now via Cactus Jack Records.
Boasting star-studded production credits and features from Pharrell, Lil Uzi Vert, DJ Khaled, Don Toliver, Gunna, and Ken Carson, SoFaygo’s debut album Pink Heartz serves a triathlon of styles and sounds, showcasing Faygo’s effortless ability to skate through balmy melodies, stadium-ready verses, and party-starting songs alike. On the album’s appropriately titled intro track, “Transparency”, SoFaygo provides an apt explainer for the careful curation that went into his long-awaited debut––“I told my fans I’m gonna drop soon some things just can’t be rushed / Man it’s a craft man it’s a process i gotta keep it up”. On his previously released singles “Fasho”, “Blitz”, “Another One” and “Hell Yeah” (feat. Ken Carson), SoFaygo displays a sense of comfort as he experiments with and refines tunefully melodic structures. A standout record from the 4-Pack of singles, “Hell Yeah” was also featured in the launch of Beats by Dre’s new King of the Court campaign starring LeBron James and his son Bronny. Another notable record from SoFaygo’s debut album includes the motivational track “Took Off” featuring DJ Khaled and fellow Atlanta superstar Gunna who trade glowing verses over a quintessential, ear-candy instrumental produced by Pharrell. SoFaygo also performed an acoustic version of his record “Fasho” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this week. With a kaleidoscope of eclectic styles and sounds showcasing his ambidextrous ability to transition from rapid-fire bars to saccharine singing––SoFaygo is solidifying himself as the torch bearer for a new generation with his debut album, Pink Heartz.
