Formerly known as “Chidi Bang”Jonny Chidi is an upcoming artist out of Massachusetts. His style is very catchy and his debut project “Chidi Bang Bang” is doing numbers. The single appears to be “Baddie” which is a smooth alternative Hip-Hop style with catchy vocals , and a creative beat. Reggie1 handled most of the production on this album with Brix Royale producing track number 5 titled “Trust.” It seems as if Jonny has been making music for a very long time and has a bright career ahead of him. His SoundCloud has very high streaming songs and he is close to reaching 4,000 followers. Before the release of his album he released his single “Ice” featuring Atlanta artist Kevin Kazi. Ice is another alternative banger with great drums produced by lucamalaspina. Ice has almost 30,000 streams on Spotify and is continuously rising. Baddie seems to be Jonny’s most popular song to date. Baddie is currently over 62,000 streams and rising on Spotify and is destined to keep rising. The Massachusetts music scene seems to be rising with even some heavy hitter artists rising out of the state lately and Jonny Chidi very well could be the next big thing. Taking a minute to reflect on the production side of Jonny’s music Reggie1 is doing a great job. Reggie1 also mixed and mastered the entire project on top of producing six out of the seven tracks. Brix Royale is a very talented producer as well with hard hitting drums , we look forward to hearing more work between the two. Track four titled “Nothing” is probably my favorite song on the album. Jonny combines his alternative style on the chorus with his rapping skills in the verse and it is a great blend of what’s to come in the future for his music. All in all Chidi is an extremely talented artist with a bright future ahead of him.
