Vic Mensa, a rapper, actor, and activist from Chicago, released a surprise EP in February. With a new series titled Vino Valentino, he takes a closer look at his thoughts on Valentine’s Day while also showcasing his talents as a producer. Taking to the web today (May 12), Chance The Rapper releases a brand new collaboration called “Wraith (Writing Exercise #3).” With Chance The Rapper as the assist, the new clip sees the two going to work over some production provided by Smoko Ono and Beat Butcha:
A week ago, Vic Mensa released his seven-track EP V TAPE, which included contributions from Eryn Allen Kane, Snoh Aalegra, SAINt JHN, BJ The Chicago Kid, DIXSON, and Peter CottonTale. Afterwards, Mensa released I TAPE last March, another seven-song offering featuring collaborations with Kane, Tish, Jeremih, Zacari, Chance The Rapper, Wyatt Waddell, and Wyclef Jean. Despite his debut official album, The Autobiography, releasing as far back as 2017, the Roc Nation artist has also dabbled in alternative music through his 93PUNX outfit; the band released a self-titled album in 2019.
