Performing under the moniker of “HELLAFIED,”Tosh Francis, is a Grenadian-American dancehall artist. This Brooklyn native was surrounded by Dancehall music in his majority Caribbean neighborhood. As the youngest of six children, resources and opportunities were far and few in between. Hella chose the path of serving in the military. During his tour in Iraq, Dancehall was an outlet to an otherwise highly stressful environment.
HeLLafied just came off his first tour “Comin’ In Hot” with EtteN management artists R&B/Pop artist Quay and rapper Snatcch. He closed out the tour in his hometown Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Unity Fest, where he performed his new release song “MMB”, Conspiracy and Top Class at this turnt up outdoor event sponsored by Hot 97. The Summer of 2023 would prove “hot” for the Brooklyn native as he set the stages a blaze at the Jersey JerkFest and the in Newark, NJ as opening act for Soca Artist Rae “Sweetheart of Soca.” at the One Love Music Festival.
Francis brings the heat! His delivery is as powerful and reminiscent of his influences including Bob Marley, Bounty Killer and Shabba Ranks. He serenades the ladies with the lyrical verbage of Bob Marley, the hard grit and delivery of Bounty sKiller and the style and energy of Shabba Ranks.
Early in his career, HeLLafied’s music took him international with performances in Kwajalein and Dubai. While he favors making “gal tunes”, he also makes music that reflects the raw reality of where he grew up. Hella manages to create catchy music without sacrificing lyricism.
