Baby Jungle is welcoming you to the wild. The Georgia-bred rapper releases his first-ever full-length project, Jungle Book. The culmination of an inspirational, yearslong journey to prominence and the official kickoff to his career as a major label artist, the mixtape features collaborations with DJ Drama, Hunxho, Luh Tyler, Rob49 and more.

“I just want people to feel connected to me as an artist, and I want to connect with them too,” Jungle says about his music and new project, which he’s released at a diligent pace throughout his career. “I could be smooth and melodic, or have some turned up level shit. I’m very versatile.”

Jungle’s self-evaluation rings true on every song of his debut project. On tracks like “Back of the Benz” and “No Dissin,” the rapper leans into his more sinister side, flaunting his lyrical ability and penchant for punchy, lustrous flows. Elsewhere, his versatility is front-and-center, like on “Too Humble” and “Never Run,” where the unique duality of his songwriting approach is pronounced. On some tracks, like the introspective “Dark Cloud,” Jungle brings all the facets together for cathartic purposes.

Guest features, from DJ Drama’s crowning appearance on “Jungle Jeezy”—an ode to Baby Jungle’s Georgian lineage—to Luh Tyler’s subtly vicious delivery on “Right Or Wrong,” are seamlessly attached to the project, adding an element of starpower to the already-supercharged project. Ahead of the mixtape’s release, the rising rapper shared the single “Freaknik” with Rob49.

Since the onset of the decade, Baby Jungle’s unorthodox journey has continued to place him in the midst of the next generation of Hip Hop stars coming out of Georgia. Jungle Book is the result of that hard work.
