unnamed-24-500x500 G Herbo Drops 'Greatest Rapper Alive' Mixtape via the G Herbo App

Global recording artist G Herbo has released his highly anticipated mixtape, Greatest Rapper Alive, exclusively through the G Herbo App, accompanied by the official video for “Roc Block.” This 16-track, sample-driven project pays homage to the early 2000s mixtape era, a time when platforms like Datpiff.com and HotNewHipHop were the go-to sources for music downloads. The mixtape is entirely produced by longtime collaborator and fellow Chicagoan Oz On The Track (Sexy Redd, Tee Grizzly, Polo G, Lil Durk), featuring reimagined samples from icons such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Jeezy, Master P, Nelly, Jay-Z, and Dipset.

Fans can access Greatest Rapper Alive exclusively on the G Herbo App and watch the “Roc Block” video now. The video offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes perspective, showcasing G Herbo’s preparation and performance at WGCI’s Big Jam in early December. The release of “Roc Block” follows the recent debut of “Spend That Bag” earlier this week, a track featured on G Herbo’s September release, Big Swerv.

In November, G Herbo unveiled Strictly 4 My Fans 2.0, a reissue of 2023’s Strictly 4 My Fans 2 with five previously unreleased tracks. The reissue includes the emotionally charged “My Soul,” the hard-hitting “Teflon,” the introspective “Essence,” the raw “Breathing Heavy,” and the melody-rich “Lionhearted,” featuring fellow Chicago artist Polo G.

Strictly 4 My Fans 2.0 marked G Herbo’s third release since September’s Big Swervwhich generated significant buzz, peaking at #1 on Apple’s Hip-Hop/Rap Albums chart and #2 on the Overall Albums chart. Ahead of the release, Rolling Stone profiled G Herbo, praising his ability to “let loose with his music” in a way he hadn’t before. The project also spawned music videos for tracks such as “Global Spinning” featuring Baby Drill, “Splat,” and “Candyman.” In October, he followed up with Big Swerv 2.0, adding seven new tracks and collaborations with Chris Brown, Meek Mill, and Lil Durk, further showcasing his artistic evolution.

G Herbo’s prolific output follows his acclaimed 2022 double album, Survivor’s Remorse: A Side & B Side, which featured collaborations with Jeremih, Future, Offset, Gunna, Benny The Butcher, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Young Thug, Meek Mill, Conway, and Kodak Black.

With Greatest Rapper Alive now available, G Herbo continues to cement his status as force in hip-hop. Stay tuned for more music and surprises as he further solidifies his legacy.
