China Mc Cloud a.k.a China a.k.a. Mr. Slanted Eyez has released a brand new album titled “Brickwork.” The new album is going to be a definite listen for fans of underground rap music, specifically those who listen to Northern California’s forever-evolving music scene.
The new album is produced by Phinehas Gad Israel, and was released on the independent imprint China’z Cabinet Productions. In terms of production, the music is hard-hitting. There are some uptempo tracks, as well as some slower ones. China’s music can vary, from release to release.
The new album “Brickwork” contains that bump, we all want to hear when we are listening to that hard and gritty, head-knocking music. The lead single is titled “Braggin” and features up and coming artist Mr. Mosley. “Braggin” is one of those tracks with the perfect tempo. The verses are laced with precision, and both artists pair well on the track together.
Tracks like “Sky’s Not The Limit” and “Set It Off” are both examples of China’s downtempo trap style, which finds the San Jose underground rap legend delivering his trademark flows. China’s music will definitely appeal to those who enjoy rap music with trap elements and slowed down rap music.
There are quite a few standout tracks, here. “No Justification” is the last song, on the new album. Surprisingly, the song reminds me of something from the Big Gamezmen era of China’s classic music releases. The San Jose native has truly crafted a sound, which can be heard throughout all of his releases.
China is a musical creative, who is not afraid to experiment with his sound. Evidence of this can be found on previously released songs such as: Parade, Soul Food, Crazy, Let it Go, Too All featuring Kurupt, and Irrie Irrie featuring Popa B, Rasta & Dread. Listen to China Mc Cloud today!
