Step one in the case of Baltimore native Freddie Gray’s death has been taken. After days of riots and unrest in the city of Baltimore, state attorney Marilyn Mosby has announced Freddie Gray’s death has been ruled a homicide and that the six officers involved would be charged. Gray went into cardiac arrest while at a Baltimore police station. Marilyn Mosby has charged officers Garrett Miller, Alicia White, Caesar Goodson Jr., William Porter, Brian Rice and Edward Nero for Freddie Gray’s death just after 11am.
No one in the Baltimore City area saw this announcement coming and to be made by a young African American women shows our youth that Black lives do truly matter. As details continue to form, stay tuned to HHS1987 for more information.
