Last May, producer Sean Garrett told SOHH about nearing a deal with Cash Money.
“It’s very, very, very close man,” Sean told SOHH about inking a deal with Cash Money/Young Money. “You gotta understand, I already got money, Cash Money has much, much, much money. Young Money also has much, much money. Oh and ‘FreeWeezy,’ you know what I’m saying? It’s just, we had to make sure that, well, there’s a lot that’s coming together there. And I really have a lot of respect and honor the way that system was built so we just had to make sure that everything was a go but from all aspects and you know, I’m excited. It’s gonna be tremendous but the ink is almost dry. [laughs]” (SOHH)
