HuffPost Live is a live-streaming network by the Huffingtong Post. It live-streams original programming Monday-Friday and based in New York City. Tapping into their love for Hip Hop, Huffington Post’s Jeff Stevens (producer) and Jacques Morel (host), created #FreestyleFridays.
The weekly series began late Spring 2015. Every week, on Friday, a featured rapper, or rappers, were given the opportunity to perform one song, and spit a freestyle, to HPL’s audience – via Periscope, a live-streaming platform.
This past Friday, #FreestyleFridays celebrated the end of the first season with a rappity rap filled cipher. The finale featured appearances from Chris Rivers, Just FLoW, Soul Khan, Grafh, Emilio Rojas,
Oswin Benjamin and Stro – all of whom participated on various Fridays, throughout the season.
