Some could go out on a limb and say the song itself is reminiscent to R. Kelly’s 2010 release, When A Woman Loves. Certain parts of the video may feel like Deja Vu as well, but that’s the beauty of music–we pull inspiration from everywhere.
Though this particular rendition reminds us of R. Kelly, it actually was inspired by James Brown’s original cut.
Rightfully released on Mother’s Day, BJ The Chicago Kid gives an ode to Mother’s all over the globe, including his. I’m sure this moment was special for him as he sang his most recent offering, Woman’s World to his Mom in the video.
