T.I. has once again set out to prove that his throne is still shining and his hustle is still grand.
Today the “King of the South” drops his eighth album and in his words T.I.’s best album to date “Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head. This 16 track masterpiece features production from some of T.I.’s usual running mates ( DJ Toomp, Pharrell, and Jazze Pha) but also T-Minus and NO I.D. The album also features some of the hottest acts in music including Pink who brings a different twist to T.I’s “Guns & Roses”, Meek Mill, Akon, Andre 3000, A$AP Rocky and R.Kelly who adds a soulful chorus on the track “Trouble Man” singing “Oh Baby, could you learn to love a Troubled Man?”.
Trouble Man includes three interludes which all take us into three of the key moments in T.I.’s life. A high speed car chase with his crew back in the day, the 2008 arrest in Los Angeles before the B.E.T Hip-Hop Awards and the night his best friend Philant Johnson was killed in Ohio.
After attending the Trouble Man listening event and hearing T.I. discuss the pain and joy he felt emotionally during the recording of the album it would be a understand just saying T.I. put everything he had into producing Trouble Man. He spoke on the success of “Mercy” and “Paper Trail” and how mentally he was in a different zone and a negative space knowing he would soon be in prison.
Trouble Man is certainly T.I. best work to date. Make sure you purchase “Trouble Man” on iTunes or at your local Best Buy or Walmart.
