Bobby Sessions goes off!
Sessions is a Dallas Texas native who developed a passion for poetry early on as a kid. It wasn’t until 2010, however, that he performed his first poem over a beat at the University of North Texas. And he hasn’t looked back since! Today, Bobby Sessions unleashes his Def Jam debut single, “Like Me,” and it doesn’t disappoint! The single was written in dedication to his cousin, James Germon Harper, who was killed by law enforcement in the Summer of 2012 in Dallas.
“I have been actively speaking out against the killing of unarmed black people by law enforcement ever since my cousin’s death … and I will continue to use my platform to speak out against a problem that negatively affects people all across the world that look like me.”
