Nicki Minaj isn’t the only musically inclined person in her family. Apparently her mother, Carol Maraj, wants in on the music scene as well. Giving us a taste of what she has to offer as an artist, Maraj releases an upbeat pop soul record titled, “What Makes You.” The inspirational record stems from Maraj’s gospel roots – which many got to hear when she collaborated with her daughter on her play, “It Is Well With My Soul.”
A percentage of the record sales for What Makes You will go to her charity CMF Carol Maraj Foundation that benefits the advocacy and aid of victims of domestic violence.
