Slimm Body, Owner/CEO of Wholesale Ent., is the type of street artist the games been missing. With the typical story of most 80’s babies, Slimm was a victim of circumstance that rose through the ever present drugs and poverty of the ghetto. Following a near fatal gunshot wound and a pending homicide/self defense case over the last few years, Slimm is finally back in position to release music.
Slimm’s all around rhyme scheme can be straight to the point or lyrically on point. His music ranges from freestyle 16’s to ballads. He prides his label and himself on their ability to make timeless content filled music, as well as singles anybody thats somebody in the industry can appreciate. He represents Cashville, Tn in dare we say, a new way. His mixtape inserts, and other projects he’s featured, reflect the constant grind to level up, pertaining to all aspects in “The Life Of A Hustler”, but emit chill authentic vibes in the process. You will undoubtedly feel Slimm & Wholesale Ent.’s unique sound if you’re a true fan of music.
Cartier Vision Insight – After almost losing his life from a gunshot wound in 2016, to presently fighting an unjust homicide charge, Slimm is releasing New Music, Videos, and Merch. Now more than ever his “Cartier Visions EP” symbolizes the hurdles and hardships involved in a positive effort to overcome the hood, poverty, and violence within, and the formidable task of emerging into mainstream from the Nashville Hip Hop scene.
When asked what he hopes fans take away from the Cartier Visions songs/project, Slimm answers with this: “Progression. From where I’m from to where I am now… When you close your eyes you see visions (sights, sounds, smells, feelings, etc…) from your past, present and HOPEFULLY your future… Cartier Visions represents coming from the dirt, and even from adolescence knowing that one day you will be living finely/ seeing things that people from the bottom never get to witness.”
