The Gathering Spot, a black-owned private membership club nestled in Atlanta, GA, has turned to the digital space to continue to ‘gather’ their members during this worldwide pandemic. As a small business, Ryan Wilson & TK Petersen (owners of The Gathering Spot) have pledged to start an on-going fund, providing grants to local small business owners during this time, already awarding over $31,000 since April.
Outside of their philanthropic efforts the duo have developed a new digital platform, TGS Connect, where they allow their members the opportunity to tune in to numerous panels, workshops, discussions, classes and more throughout the day. Many large named guests such as – Kelly Rowland, Lou Williams, June Ambrose, Jaylen Brown, Cam Newton, Ben Crump, Bun B, Will Packer and many more have joined the club for their online segments.
The mission at the club is to create a community within their membership. The duo have yet to miss a beat, despite remaining closed for the health and safety of their members and staff.
