Looks like fans can expect new music from Kendrick Lamar sooner, than later. The Compton rapper’s highly anticipated fourth album has been in the works for some time now and it could be dropping any day. With his newly announced signing with Universal Music Publishing Group, many expect the project to be released before the end of 2020.
If you recall, the last time Kendrick released an album was in 2017, when he unveiled the highly-regarded “DAMN” with Warner Chappell Music Publishing. Three years later, it’s about time we get some new K-Dot.
“Kendrick Lamar is not only one of the greatest lyricists that has ever lived, but he has done as much or more than any artist to promote much-needed change in our society through music,” proclaimed UMPG Chairman and CEO, Jody Gerson.
“I and my colleagues at UMPG are deeply honored to be afforded the opportunity to join Kenrick, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and the TDE family to help forward his unique and important vision.”
