Activating the floodgates to his weekly drop marathon, Rexx Life Raj has officially begun. According to his Instagram profile last week, he will be releasing something every Thursday and Friday for the next few weeks leading up to the official release of his album. Rexx Life Raj kicks off the night with a beat he produced himself, titled “Lockheed Martin”:
The California rapper gave a humorous explanation of the song’s origin, saying it was born from jitters from his favorite Starbucks drink. I would like to express my gratitude for the brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso with two extra blonde shots,” he types. Despite the fact that you drove me right to the edge of anxiety, you did not push me over. This slightly paranoid state led to the creation of Lockheed Martin.”
A hilarious music video for “Bad Bad Bad” was released at the start of the year by Rexx Life Raj. As Rexx Life Raj plays ball, goes on a picnic, and chills with his friends in the studio, the video is inspired by a pandemic. In the video, Rexx Life Raj is seen wearing extremely protective headgear. Recently, he also released the video for the Wild West-themed song, “Bounty.” Production for the video comes from mind.
His California Poppy 2 project, which debuted in November, features the song as the outro. Kojey Radical and Juvenile contributed vocals to the eight tracks. California Poppy appeared first in 2018 with assistance from the legendary E-40 and Will Fraker. Continuing with his Father Figure series, Rexx Life Raj released his third addendum, Father Figure 3: Somewhere Out There, in 2019.
