Throughout his career, Rexx Life Raj has been seven for seven. Every week since the California rapper promised weekly drops leading up to his next album, he has been spoiling his fans with consistency. “Lockheed Martin” opened the medley, followed by cuts such as “Alpharetta” and “Kimbo Slice”. He returns with the newly released “Red Lobster Biscuits”. Rexx begins the track by talking about focusing on himself:
It was inevitable that Raj would sprinkle some humor somewhere in his video, and this time it came in the form of a disclaimer he placed at the beginning. This video was filmed during a recording session for Raj’s latest album somewhere in Hollywood Hills. „The Runtz chain Raj wears isn’t his. It belongs to DTB, David Teale. Raj wanted to look more like a real rapper by wearing something shiny and glistening because real rappers usually wear shiny clothing. The mission has been accomplished, Raj. You did it.”
In terms of visuals, Raj has uploaded videos for “Bad Bad Bad” and “Bounty,” while the latter track has production from !llmind. The song appears on his recently released California Poppy 2 album, which debuted back in November. In addition to Kojey Radical and Juvenile, eight tracks were featured. California Poppy has released its first installment in 2018, with E-40, Will Fraker, and others providing assistance. The Father Figure series was extended with the third installment, Father Figure 3: Somewhere Out There, in 2019.
