North Carolina-based Hip Hop Artist Pierre Bless is entering the music scene with love and good vibes. In an era where self-love, social media and “vibes” are trending to overcome the anxiety-provoking Pandemic, Pierre Bless brings with him an abundance of positive energy, hoping to empower the ladies with a fun new bop. His newest viral hit single “What’s Ya Sign” samples Biggie Small’s “Big Poppa” lyric, “What’s Ya Name, What’s Ya Sign” shouting out all the women who are in tune with their zodiacs. So far the hit has been featured on several radio shows including The Breakfast Club, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, The Steve Harvey Morning Show and The Sheryl Underwood Radio Morning Show. The infectious tune has attracted over 250 women influencers, such as reality stars Laura Govan (@lauramgovan) and Angel Love Davis (@iloveangel) who have featured the song in their Instagram stories along with their zodiac sign. “The number of shares is growing organically every day.”
Our interview below dives deep into his plans. We look forward to seeing Pierre Bless’s Spread Love campaign winning all throughout 2022.
Q: Who or what is your motivation and why?
A: My Daughter Zuri is my number one motivation. When I had my daughter on Jan 1st 2019, it gave me a new purpose in life in terms of success. I’ve always wanted to be the greatest at what I do, but now I have more tunnel vision with my little one being a vehicle for my motivation.
I want to make millions, billions even to create a clear pathway of success for her and her future siblings.
Q: Who are your favorite artists and the top artists that inspire your sound?
A: Nas, Mase, Jay Z and Rick Ross. I’m inspired by Nas’s lyrical ability and Jay-Z’s beat selection. Growing up, I would study them very closely and imitated their styles for years to become the artist that I am today.
Q: Where are you from (born and raised)? And where did you grow up?
A: I was born in Nuremberg Germany, July 12 1987, and moved back to the states when I was 2 yrs old. I was raised in Albemarle NC and currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I moved back to open up a home care agency.
Q: Why music?
A: Ever since I started rapping in 7th grade, it became a part of me. Before then I was infatuated with hip hop artists’ lifestyles. I read The Source and XXL magazines every month and recorded Rap City The Basement on VHS tapes every episode. I vividly recall my friends making beats on the desk while rapping Cash Money lyrics, and I’d start freestyling out of nowhere. It wasn’t until winning a talent show at age 15 that I decided to take music more seriously, using the prize money to purchase studio equipment
Q: What is next for you?
A: I am constantly performing, so stay tuned for upcoming tour dates and new music on the way. In the future, I plan on starting my own record label, traveling, writing books, creating apps, acting in movies, Ted talks and business franchises. My goal is to become a multi-platinum selling artist with multiple records going Diamond. I also want to touch the hearts of every fan to influence them to Spread Love everywhere.
