A long and healthy way from his debut mixtape in 2010, Harlem mega-star Dave East is entering the first quarter of the year with a great new album, entitled How Did I Get Here — or HDIGH for short. This past Thursday, March 10, Dave East hosted an intimate listening event in NYC to unveil the new project. Subtle, hospitable, classic, and engaging, all of the guests were rewarded with a calm, cool and collected experience in celebration of HDIGH.
Hosted by Hot97, and sponsored by Jack Daniels and Tres Generaciones Tequila, the guests were complimented with good music, an open bar, and even greeted with champagne and mini-bites from local restaurant, BK Lobster. Special headphones were provided to everyone in attendance to stream HDIGH as well, and there were even mini-booths for private listening — which was a brilliant amenity.
HDIGH is a 9-track collective, featuring special guests such as Method Man, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Benny The Butcher, and a few others. With highlighted tracks like “1000 Miles,” “No Cocaine” ft. Kalan.FrFr, and “Gregory Hines” ft. Onlyifwevibe, HDIGH is bound to be a fan-favorite this summer and beyond.
