Alabama Rapper/R&B Artist Mj Gill is as special as they come. Mj Gill is one of the most versatile artists we’ve seen in a while and has all the tools to blow up. Born in Evergreen but residing in Huntsville, the young artist has put the city on his back. He has successfully accumulated over a million streams across all platforms while being fully independent. He released his highly anticipated album “Racks the Mission” a few months ago and to say it put him on the map is an understatement. This Album was everything Mj Gill needed to get a good start in the music industry.
The 7 Song Album is about 21 minutes in listening time and has zero features. We asked him why he had no features and he said, “I wanted my fans and supporters to hear my heart, I have some collaborations in the making but I had to give the people me.” Standout records from the album are “Passion” and “Racks the Mission”. “Passion” has gotten the most attention and displays a very vulnerable melodic style of Mj. He prides himself on originality and that’s exactly what you get when listening to him. We asked him if he could work with anyone dead or alive, who would it be, and he said, “Michael Jackson for sure”. This answer speaks to his musical mind and love for genuine music.
Mj Gill is a once-in-a-lifetime talent and with the many challenges he has to face being independent, he still prevails. His community loves him and his peers vouch for his integrity, The rising star from Alabama may very well be the next major star to come from the loved state.
