Darron Dale Rowe or Face the Great was born on April 9, 1991, in Bronx, NY on 181st & Anthony Avenue to Reggae pioneer Derrick Irie and Jamaican entrepreneur Carla Rowe.
He is a Jamaican American rapper, songwriter, and entrepreneur. While moving back and forth, Rowe’s parents chose to live in Detroit MI on W. Mcnichols (6 Mile). In 9th grade, Rowe started recording music with rap group StreetGradz (G-3, Cris, Kev, OgStraight Drop & Evan The TwerkGod) at RJ98 on the west side of Detroit, who also recorded Big Sean. After high school, Rowe’s big brother brought him to a cypher in Manhattan, New York to pursue his music career. After a couple of months of bringing demos to label offices, his big brother brought him to New York.
In the next five years, he sees himself thriving and influencing The Music Industry With his Sound And Presence. His next EP is going to be released soon. After the talks about him killing the cyphers, Rowe inked a digital distribution deal with Island Def Jam for his debut single “I’m Face the Great”.
Rowe toured the US and Jamaica while residing in Detroit. He got his biggest inspiration from his father and Detroit rap legend Big Herk. In 2006 They released a song together for a movie called “Project 313” directed by Darren Brown. That song would be the blueprint and the motivation he needed to take things to the next level by releasing records like “Life” feat. Yae Yae Jordan, which was a sample produced by OgStraight Drop from Big Herk’s “Gangstas Only” feat. J-Nutty, is off his “Guilty as charged” Album. Rowe then went on to release 2 projects titled “Great Man Season” & “Great Life God”. He also released 17 singles leading up to his breakthrough song “Tower Hill”, went to Jamaica & recruited his father, Screechie Joe and Logix to create the song he dreamt of since 2006.
