Tawaunn Guyton, stage name, Young’n Destined (YD) is a 27 year old Hip Hop artist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. YD started pursuing his passion for music in early 2012. Music and performance something Young’n loved from his first performance in Church on an Easter Sunday to a full house.
Young’n Destined first wrote music in middle school in an after school LOOP program where he was introduced to writing, producing, and recording music. He wouldn’t perform a self written song until the age of 16 in spite of his foundation in music.
YD first started in gospel hip hop in 2017 but would begin to explore more diverse styles and influences and pursue his sound professionally the following year.
His first project ‘No Restrictions’ dropped in 2018 with features from Xerox and Rocky 5
In 2019, Young’n would drop a ten track project, ‘Bag Szn’ which included features from Nashad Davis, Juan Michael OG, and Asaka the Renegade.
YD released a single, ‘Pro’ in 2020 as well as ‘More to Give’. An EP with features from Kay Millenium, Kyle Mack, and Nashad Davis.
In 2021, Young’n released 4 singles: ‘By My Side’, ‘Computer Love’, ‘Didn’t Deserve Me’, and his top single ‘Miss Mine’.
2022, Young’n would follow up a successful year dropping another top single track ‘My Time’ featuring Anita J.
Most recently in April of 2023 Young’n Destined released ‘Smoke Break’ featuring Sam Watson and announced his next multi track project, ‘Rare Hybrid’ will be released June 2023 showcasing Young’n’s versatility in sound and flow. As always YD flexes his wit in wordplay and clever lyricism. Fans have been told to expect a surprise feature with this drop.
