K-Quick is a prominent hip hop artist, well known throughout the indie scene. And now…he has landed a major distribution deal with Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group. This has catapulted him to a new level in the music industry. It’s no surprise that prestigious executives have their eyes on the talented artist. Within the past year, K-Quick received an award for “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist” at the 2024 MAMA Awards. Additionally, the soundtrack for the film “Water” was unveiled to the public; a film in which K-Quick starred in.
Since the announcement of his distribution deal, K-Quick released his new EP, “Follow the Trail, Vol. 1”. He expressed, “Follow the Trail, Vol. 1 is my favorite for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, it is my first solo body of work since Asylum. It’s a very personal project that picks up where Asylum left off. It shows a different side of me–my growth, my maturity, and the more fun side of myself as well.”
K-Quick is no stranger to the spotlight and headline news in the music business. When asked what keeps him on this trajectory of success and motivation he stated, “Life keeps me on this trajectory. I am inspired by my life experiences to create the art that I create, which is why it turns out the way it does. God is the main force that motivates me to keep going. Nothing is possible without Him.”
When listeners are introduced to K-Quick’s music, they are met with a plethora of genres. He has the artistic capability of fusing music together to lure in and captivate his fans. Authentic is a great word to describe K-Quick and his unique sound has captured the hearts of people globally. Because of his growth, there is a demand for his presence overseas which has sparked his interest in potentially touring internationally. He revealed that he and his team are working diligently to make that happen!
Throughout the interview, we asked K-Quick what advice he has for the readers and fans. He explained, “Always remember…no matter what shadow may cast over you, that shadow would not exist without the light. Just keep following the path you were set on and you will reach that feeling of liberation that was made for you.”
Since the age of 10, K-Quick knew he was destined to make music his entire life. He has pushed through every obstacle and all adversity to make his dreams become a reality.
