12-Year-Old Independent Canadian-Jamaican Hip-Hop Artist Drops New Single “Not My Style” via UnitedMasters
In a music industry obsessed with follower counts and viral trends, 12-year-old Canadian-Jamaican hip-hop artist Cairo Snow is proving there’s still power in the old-school grind. Without leaning on gimmicks, Cairo is setting records as the youngest independent hip-hop artist to break through international radio — with spins already in Spain, the UK, Brazil, the U.S., St. Lucia, and Canada.
Now, Cairo returns with his most anticipated single yet, “Not My Style”, out today via UnitedMasters. Produced by acclaimed hitmaker B3 (credits: Drake, Sony Italy), the track blends bold lyricism, sharp delivery, and Cairo’s Caribbean-Canadian swagger into an anthem of individuality.
Since his debut in January 2025, Cairo has made history again and again, collecting numerous official music industry records in less than a year:
• Youngest independent hip-hop artist to achieve international radio airplay in Brazil, the UK, St. Lucia, Sweden, and on CBC Radio Canada.
• Youngest finalist in Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Top Hit Maker” Search, advancing through four rounds of fan voting.
• Youngest in his category to be featured on CP24, Toronto Star, Rolling Hype, and We Love Hip Hop Network.
• Youngest winner of TD Bank’s “Show Your Flow” Best Hip-Hop category (Jerkfest Toronto 2025).
• Youngest performer at Irie Vibes Festival.
• Youngest in his lane to release four singles in a single year.
Cairo’s journey has also been fueled by mentorship and milestones: he joined Wu-Tang Clan on stage at their sold-out Scotiabank Arena show, performed at community-driven youth events like Square One’s Young Bosses Market, and is being mentored by platinum-certified producer/engineer MtStreets (Dua Lipa, Lil Baby, Rich the Kid).
For Cairo, “Not My Style” is more than a single — it’s a statement. With his message-driven bars and self-defined visual identity, he’s carving a path that proves real radio, real records, and real artistry can still cut through in today’s digital-first landscape.
