Toronto-raised, Jamaican-heritage dancer and performer redefines urban stages across the United States with technical mastery fused with Caribbean energy.
Los Angeles, CA — November 5, 2026 — Professional dancer, choreographer, and educator CJ Jackson is making a decisive mark on hip-hop culture through his signature blend of all-style versatility and authentic dancehall. Born in Toronto to Jamaican parents from St. Andrew and St. Mary, Jackson has spent nearly 20 years refining a movement language that honors the roots of urban dance while expanding its global reach. His work as a performer across the United States continues to place Caribbean rhythm and creativity at the center of contemporary hip-hop stages.
All-Style Command Rooted in Jamaican Heritage
Jackson is an all-style dancer who also specializes in dancehall, a direct result of his Jamaican heritage. Growing up with parents who passed on an appreciation for Jamaican pop culture and the free-form traditions of dancehall, he absorbed the influence of pioneers such as Gerald “Bogle” Levy and Ice, alongside early hip-hop dancers. This foundation allows him to move fluidly between commercial, street, and Caribbean vocabularies. He has described dancehall as both traditional and free, noting that new-school styles emerge when old-school foundations meet modern technique—an approach he now applies on U.S. stages.
His performances around the United States have given him platforms to demonstrate this fusion in live settings, music videos, and artist collaborations. By treating hip-hop environments as spaces for cultural dialogue rather than simple execution, Jackson consistently brings the energy, creativity, and rhythmic precision of Caribbean dance into urban contexts.

Performances and Industry Recognition Across the United States
Jackson’s career includes lead dance and choreography roles that have already crossed into Caribbean charts, most notably his work on Megan Soo’s “Michigesso,” which reached No. 1 on Blacker Top 20 and aired widely across the region. He has also earned recognition through competitions and conventions including Street Dance Canada, Star Beat, On The Floor, Dance Starz, a spot at the Nuvo Dance Convention in Toronto, and a scholarship via the USA International Visa Program after competing in New York City. Commercial credits further underscore his versatility, including work with Samsung/SnapDragon, Western Union, and Aleve, as well as a Jim Beam National Talent Finalist appearance.
These milestones sit alongside his ongoing presence as a performer who has toured and performed across Canada and the United States. Known earlier in his career by the nickname “Mr. Worldwide” for his frequent travel and content creation, he has maintained a consistent commitment to live performance even as he has expanded into choreography and education.

Bridging Cultures on Hip-Hop Stages
“Dancehall and hip-hop have always spoken to each other,” Jackson says. “My job is to keep that conversation honest—respecting where the movement comes from while making it speak clearly to new audiences. Being an all-style dancer who also brings dancehall from my Jamaican heritage lets me contribute something specific to hip-hop culture without losing the roots.”
Through consistent performances around the United States and his commitment to Caribbean representation, Jackson is positioning himself as a bridge between heritage and the evolving landscape of hip-hop dance. His work underscores the continued influence of Caribbean creatives on urban culture and the value of technical training paired with cultural authenticity.
