Pride is one of the most honest and genuine things a person could have in this world. More than money, more than cars, more than anything, actually. Once your name is attached to something the pressure mounts to deliver a product of the highest quality to not only yourself, but the people who will be affected by it as well. It’s no different with Lil Wayne and his upcoming album Tha Carter IV.
Slated for an August 29 release, Weezy doesn’t appear to be pleased at all with the instrumentals he’s been given to work with, even amidst the mounds of legal trouble with past producers. As told to HipHopDX:
“These niggas’ beats been sucking. I’m putting it out there: you producing, what ya’ll doing? Get right, man. Step it up,” he said. ‘This is coming from a rapper. One of the best rappers. I ain’t saying I’m the best no more, because these niggas is too good these days. I got old. But damn, y’all niggas’ beats is terrible! [Chad Ochocinco walks into the room] These niggas’ beats sound like Ochocino made them.”
