If your a fan of the NFL or if you haven’t been under a rock over the last few years you probably have heard the name Brett Favre. The one time Falcon, Packer, Jet and Viking and three time MVP Quarterback has retired and retired and retired again hopefully for good. Or is it?
After a injury shorten Favre’s season last year the Minnesota Vikings turned to rookie UAB QB Joe Webb to run the show. Webb was very impressive in a Tuesday night victory over the Philadelphia Eagles but wasn’t guaranteed the starting job this season and is working hard to change that. Searching for a mentor Webb found himself in Hattiesburg, Mississippi training with NFL Iron man Brett Farve.
Although Brett filed his retirement paperwork in January we can never count his out. After all once the lockout is lifted what would the off-season be without Favre’s name is the discussion. Favre is known for not being a fan of training camp nor pre-season and with the possible start of the 2011 NFL season around the corner and many teams unsure of free agency rules and players available maybe a vet like Favre would be needed by a contending team. Don’t get me wrong in my opinion this is a long shot but with Brett Favre anything is possible!
