Talk about coming into your new job and making splash. Well, if you do start that conversation, make sure you mention the name Michael Carter Williams. The Philadelphia 76ers rookie point guard has come into the NBA big and is making a name for himself. Joining only Shaquille O’Neal, MCW was named this week’s Eastern Conference Player of the week, becoming only the second rookie to do it. MCW has lead the Sixers to a early 3-0 record which includes victories over Lebron James’ Miami Heat and Derrick Rose’s Chicago Bulls.
The 11th overall pick by Philly in the 2013 has averaged 21 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals his first week on the job and has helped the 76ers to there first 3-0 start in over 7 years. MCW and the Sixers will look to improve to 4-0 as Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors march in to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia tonight at 7pm.
