MetLife has secured the naming rights to New Meadowlands Stadium.
The $1.6 million facility will now be called MetLife Stadium, according to a report in the New York Post.
The deal with the Insurance company for the naming rights to the one-year-old facility could be worth as much as $20 million per year over 20 years, according to the report. It could be announced as early as next week in midtown Manhattan.
Neither MetLife nor the owners of the Jets and Giants would comment on the deal to the Post.
The report said MetLife had been trying to hash out the naming rights deal since last year, but the unstable economy held up the talks.
