You should know Philadelphia’s own Meek Mill by now if you listen to hip hop/rap. He recently released a remix to “Ima Boss” which features Birdman, Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, T.I., Rick Ross & DJ Khaled. He is nominated for MTV2’s Sucker Free Awards for “Club Banger: Song of the Year” for “Ima Boss” and “Who’s Got Next: Best Artist Without an Album”. He is currently signed to Maybach Music Group (also known as MMG), but has managed to start his own label with Philly’s Power 99FM DJ Cosmic Kev. No official press release on their label name or members yet but they both have been quoted talking about it. he just shut down Philadelphia’s biggest Hip Hop concert of the year, Powerhouse 2011.
Meek manages to do so much, and create so much buzz for himself that Ecko has partnered up with him on his own clothing line (Meek talks more about his Ecko clothing line in the video above). Here are a few pictures of Meek’s October 2011 photoshoot in NYC, but if you catch him or his crew around you will see the “Dreamchasers” or “DC” logo on varsity jackets (backstage at Powerhouse picture below) or hats that has yet to be released to the public.
