Melanie White (@MelRWhite) and Jordan Jackson (@_J_Jack) have partnered up to open Greek & Life Boutique on Temple University’s campus. Greek & Life Boutique is so unique on many levels. The boutique is split in half: one side is all Greek Fraternity and Sorority merchandise and the other side is regular boutique items such as clothing and accessories from various designers. Hence the name Greek & Life!
Greek & Life Boutique also has a wall mural on the Greek side of the store’s wall in the store that has many Greek organizations on it. There has never been a Greek Store in PA and all of the students had to travel to Delaware to get items or order online. Now the two partners opened the boutique and have taken over a huge market. The store has gotten a huge response and buzz is growing rapidly.
On the boutique side, they carry brands such as Funktional, MELANIE MARiE (co-owner of the Greek & Life Boutique), MUS By Mali Ro, Aphillyated, Life After Denim, KRSP, Nike and many more. The store has been getting a very large buzz and has been backed by many influential people! They are two young very ambitious people and its located on 2152 North Broad St., so show some support.
I have to admit while snapping photos and talking to the two partners I myself got inspired. They are both young black entrepreneurs and to see them hard at work on something unique and their own, made doing this blog/ photo-shoot a joy. Not to mention I am a Temple University grad and anything around the Temple area I would support. I know a lot of people who have clothing lines here in Philly and sell clothing off their website and out of their trunk, but with the recent opening of this store, its location and its target market, it makes a nice place to retail your merchandise.
