Although at this point Adidas is still a dominate apparel brand worldwide, here in the United States, a new brand is starting to stand on their own two feet. According to Forbes.com, Under Armour overtook Adidas this year to become the second-largest sports apparel brand in the U.S. with sales of $1.2 billion, 20% more than a year ago, representing 14% of the U.S. market. Last year Under Armour’s total worth was $3.7 Billion. This year it is now $4.1 Billion. Could Under Armour be looking to dethrone Nike next? Only time will tell.
